I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
